The Mahjong Trust · Est. 2026

Our Story

Our full story — a childhood in Singapore, and a lifetime crossing between the four great tables — is being set in type now. The short version, while the ink dries:

Four traditions, one table

The founder of this house grew up in Singapore, where mahjong is not a boutique hobby but a household sound — the wash of tiles through open windows, the cat and the mouse, the rooster and the centipede. The Singapore game came first. Canton’s faan counting followed, then the riichi tables of Tokyo, and in time the jokers and Charleston of the American League game.

Every mahjong shop we admired served exactly one of those tables and called it the game. Nobody was serving the players who cross between them. So in 2026, we opened a trading house that does.

The Mahjong Trust deals in fine goods, printable provisions, and honest guidance for all four traditions — always named in the order we learned them: Singapore · Canton · Tokyo · America.

Our chop is the character for trust. It is also a promise.
